The QUIN Story:
QUIN began in 2013 and is the vision and passion of founder and candy creator Jami Curl. From the start Jami has refused to use any fake ingredients to craft candy. Why? Because real food makes better candy. And better candy is the heart and soul of QUIN.
We like to say that Candy is Magic, and based on the response to Jami’s creations like fruity/chewy Dreams Come Chew and Smoked Cola Gumdrops, we find it a point difficult to argue. We make the best candy we possibly can with the best ingredients we can get our hands on. From gumdrops to caramels, marshmallows to lollipops, fruit chews to sour hard candies, the QUIN candy kitchen is busy churning out Curl’s creations both for our shop in Portland, Oregon and for nationwide delivery.
We use top notch ingredients every step of the way: real Oregon berries, housemade coffee extract made from locally roasted beans, hazelnuts from a few miles outside Portland, tea blended just a few blocks away from our candy kitchens and specially blended fruit and vegetable extracts for color and flavor.
Of course there are ingredients of lesser quality that we could use. Of course there are artificial colors, waxes, sweeteners and fake flavors we could throw in. But if we made things that way we wouldn’t be QUIN. And we love being QUIN.
We use only pure granulated cane sugar, GMO-free glucose, and Oregon-grown fruit. We use no powered dairy products - preferring instead fresh cream and butter. We use all-natural extracts and coloring derived from fruits and vegetables.
All of our candy is manufactured (by hand) in a facility that processes milk, wheat, peanuts, tree nuts, and eggs. Our gumdrops and marshmallows contain gelatin.
